Happy Birthday - 1 design, 4 cards

March is a birthday month for me -- seven family and friends' birthdays!  So I looked around Pinterest for a card I could make quickly and easily change for a man or woman.  Found this great card and basically copied it -- Thank you to Julie B.

The cards are a little different from the card on Pinterest:  the white base card is embossed with 'happy birthday' and most of the circles are embossed with dots.  When I started making the cards, I embossed eight white pieces and punched lots of circles in many different colors.  Then I matched the circle colors to the patterned card stock and base card.   I have four more white pieces and lots of circles to use for the remaining birthday cards I need for this month.  Stay tuned....

I think these cards would be good for a child, teenager or adult.

We are having terrific sunny days.  I need to get outside for some Vitamin D and pruning!

Take care,
Kathy

A Bright and Cheery Happy Birthday

Happy Monday!  The other day I received via snail mail the elements for making a card as part of a card swap.  I should have taken a picture, sorry.  The elements were a piece of white card stock stamped with what looks like orange slices in four different colors.  Kind of different and unique.  I'll have to ask her if she made a stamp or used an actual orange?  Another element was a piece of yellow/orange watercolor and the third element was stamped slice of orange.  I did not use the last element - just could not work that in.

Fortunately, I had orange and green card stock that I used as the card bases.   Stamped Happy Birthday on the watercolor piece and rounded one corner just for a different effect.  Then I added a bow made of multicolored rafia for the final touch.

I love making birthday cards and this one is just so colorful and I know who will be receiving this cheery card for her birthday!

I'll be posting this card to Seize the Birthday

Have a great week!
Kathy
