Sorry I Missed Your Birthday

Well, it isn't the first time I needed a belated birthday card and surely won't be the last. But, fortunately, a masculine card was the theme for the challenge at Curtain Call so I combined the All Boy Challenge with the My Favorite Things challenge (hadn't used the triangle stamps yet and I've had them for ages).

My Favorite Things Challenge Sketch #267

Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge

Have a great week.  After what seems like days and weeks of snow and ice, our outside temperature is supposed to get in the 50s this week.  I can't wait.

Take care,
Kathy

Red, White and Blue

Another red, white and blue card.  I love making these patriotic cards.  My inspiration for this card was the Tuesday Morning Sketch #338.

Have a great weekend.  We are not expecting snow, but we are to get frigid temperatures.  Good time to make cards!

Take care,
Kathy

Starry Night

Hi everyone -
Thankfully, the snow is gone -- three feet.  Well, we did not receive three feet, only 32 inches!  We stuck a yard stick in the snow on our deck.  At first we enjoyed seeing the yard stick disappear ... then, not so much.

The first few days after the blizzard, the snow was absolutely beautiful.  So pristine white and pretty.  Then, of course, the roads cleared and the sand and dirt turned the lovely white snow to piles of ugly brown yuck!

So, I guess I still have snow on my mind and came up with this card.  A picture of silver trees in a frame with a little paperclip at the top.  Confetti stars for a starry night.

Card materials:
Martha Stewart All Over the Page Stars
Stampin Up "Lovely as a Tree" stamp
We R Memory Keepers Albums Made Easy
Ink It Up! Silver ink

I'll be posting this card to two challenges:

Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge #3   I chose the middle row: polaroid, paperclip and confetti.  An interesting challenge - really makes one think outside the box.

Have a great weekend!

Happy Valentine's Day

Here are a couple Valentine's Day cards I made.  Quick and easy.

The first is a red card base with a piece of patterned card stock - love love love all over.  I punched the left side with an edger just to add a little dimension, tied a bow with pretty red and white twine, and added a little heart.

Looking at this picture of the card, I see the heart looks a little blah.  I think I'll add some bling to it.

The second card has a kraft card base.  I covered a piece of white card stock with XOXO, cut the geometric shape (trapezium?) and adhered it to the card base.  A little bit of red and white twine, a couple hearts and bling complete the top of the card.  A big Hugs & Kisses stamp and red bling on the bottom.

I'll be sending these cards to my nieces' little children.  They like to receive cards!  And I love sending them cards.
