Need a Hug Pug

Need a Hug Pug?   Isn't this little dog a cutie!

I made this card with navy blue and tan card stock with a band of designer stripe paper and twine.  The pug is a stamp set from Pink and Main - love him.

A kind of plain and simple card, but absolutely perfect for a man!

Friends

Such a sweet card.  Since I have not seen my friends in months (!!), I made a few friendship cards to send to them to let them know I was thinking of them.  I miss my bridge partners and the ladies in the woman's club.  😘

Good Friend

Thanks for being such a good friend:  great card to send to a great friend.  I made this card for the Festive Friday Challenge #FF0063 celebrating International Day of Friendship.  From the inspiration list I chose pink, green, friendship sentiment, polka dots, flower and embossing.  I had fun making this card with all the different elements.

Thanks for being such a good friend designed by Two Yellow Daisies

A Friend of Coffee is ...

A friend of coffee is a friend of mine!  I do miss meeting my friends for coffee and idle chit chat.  Wonder when we will be able to get together again?

Card #4 for the 2020 Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.  The third in the series of three of coffee related cards from a digital download.    I think this one is my favorite.

2020 Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

The last couple months have dragged and I feel like a year has passed instead of a few weeks.  So, I was ever so happy for the 2020 Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop to begin!!

Card #1
This card is the first in a series of three coffee related cards that I will make.  It is a digital pic that I downloaded --  can't remember when or the source.  I need to do some backtracking of my orders to discover the company/person as I really like the design.  The pic is originally black and white and I used my Copic pens to color the image.

Have a great weekend!

Friends

It takes a long time to grow old friends.  Ain't that the truth.  I love this stamp.

And I love the new format for the Festive Friday Challenge.  We get to chose three inspirational items from a list of ten to use on our cards.  Challenging, yet quite helpful, too!  So I made a lovely, simple card.

Here's my card:  I used this great stamp, orange and blue Copic pens to color the flowers and pot, orange and blue flowered paper for the background and a solid blue frame and basic card.  I really like orange and blue together.

Have a great weekend!

Coffee and Friends

Here is card #2 for the 2018 Winter Coffee Lovers Blog.  A simple coffee die cut with stamped sentiment on a red and white polka dot paper.  The cup and basic card are the same green.  For a little more color, I added some gold foil stars.  Cute!

Happy Weekend!

Coffee card #3

Well, the snow is falling like crazy here.  The estimated 2-4 inches was wrong -- lots more.  The roads are still clear, but everything is covered in white.  So pretty to look at.  And I am so glad that I don't have to go out and I can make coffee cards!

Below is card #3 for the 2017 Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

I'm a bit disappointed in the card.  I'm not sure if the messy edges on the cups are my inking problem or if the stamp has rough edges.  And my gold trimming was going along well until....

Happy Snow Day!

Just a Note!

Yesterday I found this music paper in my stash and thought I might use it for the Tuesday Morning Sketches Challenge.    After staring at the sketch for a loonnng time, things just sort of fell in place.  I knew I wanted to use the paper and the stamp, Just a Note! and I thought I would add a few flowers, twine and doily.   It's sort of Shabby Chic, too.

I'm off to the beach.  Can't wait!  Have a great weekend,

Watercolor Tag

This week I wanted to make cards for a couple challenges so I thought I would play around with watercolors - which I'd like to more often.

Here is a tag I made with purple, green and blue and a tad of yellow.  I swished the colors all around on paper and then cut out hearts.  Then I dotted another piece of white card stock with the same colors for the background using the top of the water brush.    I die cut the two little tags from the watercolor paper, stamped the little tags with 'friend' and 'love' and tied them to the white bow and purple string at the top of the tag.   The final step was placing little dots of glue on the backs of the hearts and attaching them to the larger tag.

I may attach this tag to a gift for a friend who feeling a little low right now.

Made with:
Sentiments - 'love' from Technique Tuesday Hello set and 'friend' from a retired SU set
Small tags from Sizzix Framelits Tags & Words
Hearts from Tim Holtz Scribble & Splat die set

For my Librarian Friends

I always need note cards and birthday cards to send to my friends and most of them are librarians (I am a retired librarian - yay, retirement!!).   So with that in mind, I made these simple yet cute note cards.

It's Wine O'Clock!

Oh look, it's wine o'clock!

I saw a similar sign on Pinterest and just cracked up in laughter.  I have a couple friends who came immediately to mind and I thought I would make them a card.  But I don't have a stamp with that phrase so I printed one with my computer.  The wine bottle stamp I have had for a while -- glad to finally use it!   Maybe this card could be the start of a goal of mine to start using stamps I haven't used yet.    hmmmmm.

Hope you enjoy the card --  I know my friends will love it!

Happy Sunday,
Kathy

Just Because, Card Swap 2

The card swap has been a lot of fun.  I've really had to be creative.  This second card was not so bad -- I'm still thinking about the third!

The elements that were sent to me for this card were the truly lovely pink flower (white embossing and pink ink daubed around it) and the green chevron paper.   I really like the pink and green together so I layered the elements on pink card stock with a layer of white and pink base card.

The sentiment was stamped on a round white piece and placed over a round green chevron piece.  Final touches were the pink ribbon, little pearls and round paperclip.

The embossed flower has inspired me to try this as it brought back memories of a video I watched a few months ago.  So pretty.

Wishing you... Sunshine

This stamp is one of my favorites:  Wishing you a day bright with sunshine!  What a great message for a birthday or just to let someone know you are thinking of them.

And one of my favorite dies is this sunflower.  Love sunflowers!  So the two of them together along with yellow, blue and green make this card one of my all time favorites!   ;'))

I'll be posting this card to Seize the Birthday Challenge - Summertime

Happy Thursday,
Kathy

Hi!

One more card for the week.  This card was fun to make.  I covered a piece of card stock with cute little strips of Washi tape - love the colors.  I picked up a round tray dispenser at Costco (my favorite store!!) a few months back,  The tray was full of different colors and two sizes of Washi tape.  Really handy to use.

Then I placed the  smaller square in the middle of a white square card, added a red button and yellow bow, a few butterflies and bling and the sentiment in the corner.

I'll post this card to the Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge

Have a great weekend!
Kathy

A Day Bright With Sunshine

Love this sentiment:  Wishing you a day bright with sunshine.  After a long, long winter we are all wishing for a bright day!

The sentiment just calls for bright and cheery colors and flowers.  I stamped the sunflowers with VersaMagic and then used my water pen to fill in the flowers and then added some bling and a sweet little white bow.

I'll post this card to Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #215

Have a great weekend.
