Happy Birthday

 

 Here is the start of a birthday card for the holiday season.  I wish I had time to finish  it before the 2022 Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop ends today, but time is really short today.  I took this picture days ago.   I like to look at a photo to get ideas for embellishments.

So, on this card I would add a couple smaller gold thingies at the top (those gold plops at the bottom of the card are the center pieces for paper poinsettias).  And I think I would remove the large cup and add several small pretty cups instead.  On the inside I'd add a couple more gold thingies.

Merry Christmas

 2022 has been an interesting year for me.  I thought the Covid years were different, but 2022 was really something else, but good!   I have been crocheting since I was a child, making scarves, hats, home items, etc.  But in the last two years I've gone crazy with crocheting bags and especially designing my own pattern in the last year.  I love making bags of all shapes and sizes!

So, that is why I haven't been posting new cards. I've been making cards for birthday for friends and family, but not posting them online.  I'm not sure I even took pictures of them.  

I have continued to folllow different card making blogs and Fcebook pages and when I saw the 2022 Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop, I decided to make a few basic cards.

 Here's a really simple, yet elegant, card that could be sent to a man or woman for any occasion -- Smile!

The basic card is white with black and gold stripes layers.  The two part tag is white and velum with embossed gold lettering and dots.  I added a gold bow to the tag.

 The weekend is coming.  Enjoy!

Guy Birthday Card

 Birthday cards for guys are somewhat of a challenge.  You don't want something too flowery or pinkish, but not too dark and moody either.

So I just go with bright cheery colors!  Here's a colorful fancy fold Happy Birthday card that could be given to anyone of any age.  I may make several of these.

The Happy Birthday flap flips to the right and the green panel opens to the left.  A message can be left inside.  A cute card that is easy to make.
