Smile

Here's a really simple, yet elegant, card that could be sent to a man or woman for any occasion -- Smile!

The basic card is white with black and gold stripes layers.  The two part tag is white and velum with embossed gold lettering and dots.  I added a gold bow to the tag.

 The weekend is coming.  Enjoy!

Graduation

Congratulations to all graduates this year!  What a year to remember.

For the Festive Friday Challenge #FF0058 I created this gift card holder using the new graduation cap die set from The Stamps of Life.  I cut the front pieces out of a paper napkin.  I've made other cards using paper napkins and love them.  Such a unique method.  Then I made a little tassel from some black twine and glued the sections to a white base card.  Next was to die cut the inside black piece and add the white embossed sentiment, congratulations.  The black piece is adhered to the white card only along the edges so a gift card or cash can be slipped behind the piece.

The elements I chose for this challenge are a gift card holder, congratulations sentiment, a little green and embossing.  Fun card to make.

Congrats!

Graduation time is coming soon.  A happy time for the graduate and the families.  I picked up this Sizzix star die and thought it would be perfect for a graduation card.

This is a quick and easy card to make.  Punching out all the little pieces took some time.  I need to get one of those roller brushes that takes care of these little details!

This congratulations card could be sent as a retirement card, congrats on a job promotion or graduation.

Have a great day!

Congrats

As part of an unfinished card swap I received a red, black and orange hot air balloon,  stamped sentiment 'Congratulations' and a piece of designer paper with blue clouds.   I also wanted to make a card for the Tuesday Morning Challenge.   I thought and thought and thought.  no ideas....

Then   💡   I came up with the following card -   a graduation card in black, red and white!  The base card is black with a white card stock background and a layer of diplomas and hats paper.  I attached the hot air balloon on vellum with a different 'congrats' under the vellum.

I attached the vellum to the graduation paper with small dots of glue, yet those dots were visible.  So I added some bling to cover these spots.

In case you are wondering, the unfinished card swap requires us to send another player 3-4 card elements.  Then we are to make a card using any of the elements we received from a player.  Sometimes I use all 3 or 4 pieces or, as in this case, I used just one.

I'll be posting this card to the Tuesday Morning Sketches Challenge #400:

Happy Weekend!
