Smile

Here's a really simple, yet elegant, card that could be sent to a man or woman for any occasion -- Smile!

The basic card is white with black and gold stripes layers.  The two part tag is white and velum with embossed gold lettering and dots.  I added a gold bow to the tag.

 The weekend is coming.  Enjoy!

Sunflower - Gold Emboss Resist

Here is a fun little card.  I haven't made a black and white card for some time and I love the gold emboss resist sunflower.  This technique is so easy and so pretty.  Wish I used it more often.

The first card is not really the embossed resist technique as I did not add ink or color to the image.

This second image has the embossed area covered in orange ink.  I like them both.

No sentiment.  I thought this card could be a 'just because' or birthday card.

The Best Sister

This is another phrase from a t-shirt in a catalog.  My sister cracked up when she saw it and said she was going to send it back to me someday!

Using my computer and printer, I printed the phrase on a pretty background and added a few embellishments.

And today is my sister's birthday.  HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Have a great weekend,
Kathy

just because

One of the first cards I made was so simple and easy to make, yet it is also one of my favorites.  I like the colors and cheery tone.

The card base was pre-printed with the light green background and orange dots.  I cut orangy- red card stock to fit the bottom of the card, added a bit of lace and yellow flowers with green leaves.  I also used my round corner punch to soften the edges.    I love the 'just because' stamp.  Sometimes you just send a card 'just because.'    ;')
