Happy Retirement

Well, this card is different.  I saw the fish paper in my collection and thought of a retired person fishing and drinking coffee.  Perfect!

This will be card #7 for the 2019 Spring Summer Coffee Lovers Blog.

Well, that second picture really stinks.  What happened?  The colors are good and the blues in the fish are good, but blurry.   Obviously, I need help with photos!

Tomorrow is Friday.  Have a great weekend.

Take Life One Cup at a Time

Love this sentiment - Take life one cup at a time.    Card #5 for the 2019 Spring Summer Coffee Lover's blog.

Isn't this cup cute?  I found it an a Scrapbook Expo last June.  This is another easy card to make, but it does have a few elements:  yellow base card, designer paper background, sentiment, colored cup on a scalloped circle (with yellow edging for a little depth) and bling!

Have a great week!

So many books...

Card #3 for the 2019 Spring-Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!   I think this card is a favorite.  Probably because it just hits so close to home.  My bookshelves and Kindle are overflowing with books I want to read, but...  So many books, so little time!

This card has several layers.  The base card is green and the frame behind the white top piece is the same color.  The clock paper is on a white frame.

Have a great day!

Happy Birthday

Card #2 for the 2019 Spring-Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!   A simple birthday card with three die cut coffee cups in different colors on a background of sponged polka dots embossed white paper.  The base card is dark blue.  This would be a great card for a guy who loves coffee!

Hope all is well,
Kathy

Coffee, books, reading

Coffee, books, reading -- perfect!

Here is another coffee project for the 2018 Winter Coffee Lover's Blog.

Thanks for stopping by,
Kathy

Another card for the 2018 Winter Coffee Lover's Blog

Another card for the 2018 Winter Coffee Lover's Blog --  a pretty card with holiday paper as the background, a white paper doily and solid red strip across the doily wrapped with green and white twine.  The coffee cup is hand stamped in black and then fuzzy cut.  I must find a big coffee cup die!

Have a great night!
Kathy

Coffee Cup Bookmark

I have a lot of bookmarks, but this little cutie might become my favorite!

The cup is a die cut - four layers of double-sided holiday paper and card stock with green and white baker's twine and a small square at the other end.  Cute.

Coffee and Friends

Here is card #2 for the 2018 Winter Coffee Lovers Blog.  A simple coffee die cut with stamped sentiment on a red and white polka dot paper.  The cup and basic card are the same green.  For a little more color, I added some gold foil stars.  Cute!

Joy to the World

It's that time of the year!    Not only is Christmas just around the corner, but it  is time for the 2018 Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!!

I just love making coffee related cards for this event.  It is a bit of a challenge trying to be unique with all the other posted cards by hundreds of other card makers.  So much fun!!

The size of this cup die is perfect for sentiments.  This is one of two I made with a sentiment stamped in the middle of the cup (the second cup to follow in another post).  The white cup has been lined with gold ink to make it stand out on the green patterned background paper.

Have a great day!

Red, White and Blue Birthday

With a few birthdays in July, I thought I would get a head start with this card for the 2018 Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.

             Happy Wednesday!!   Kathy

Coffee folded

Love this squash-fold card.  I have made a bright and cheery squash-fold birthday card for my great niece and she loved it and a graduation card for a friend's son.  This folded card is so versatile and can be made for any occasion.

So, I made this stack of coffee cups card for the 2018 Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Bloghop.  This would be a perfect card end-of-the-year thank you card for a teacher.    Here is a great tutorial for making the squash-fold card.

Have a great day!

Coffee Happy Birthday

Another card for the 2018 Spring / Summer Coffee Lover's Bloghop.  The background on this card is similar to the Father's Day card I made last week.  You can read about that card here.

I added a rectangle of black netting - recycled avocado bag :') -  and I edged the card with gold ink.  I like the gold ink, but the edges look rippled due to the embossing.

Happy Sunday,
Kathy

Pretty Napkin Card

Loved making this card.  Several months ago I saw a lovely floral card which was made using a paper dinner napkin.  This card was made using Saran Wrap and an iron -- a little time consuming and awkward for me.  Last week I saw another technique using a glue stick.  Hurrah!  This was the one for me.

So I quickly found a beautiful spring napkin and my glue stick. There are many videos on You Tube explaining this technique.  "No-Iron Paper Napkin" and  "DIY Napkin Cards" are two that I like.

Hints:  I used a brayer to make sure the glue was evenly distributed - do not use the brayer on the napkin side as the napkin might tear.   I waited for the glue to dry before I trimmed the edges.  This wait may not be necessary, but I wanted to be careful.  If you are going to use a paper trimmer to cut the piece, be sure the glue is dry and place the napkin side down.  As I quickly learned, cutting the piece with scissors is a better option as there is less chance of tearing the napkin.

I was going to add a sentiment, but changed my mind.  I like the card as is, but also think it needs something.  Any ideas?

Congratulations Coffee Gift Card #6

In the last post, I mentioned I could post two more cards.  After posting this card, I will be getting ready for a party I am hosting tomorrow.  I would much rather be making cards than cleaning the house, but duty calls....

Congratulations to the winter graduates!

Here is card #6 in the 2017 Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop:

 Take care,
Kathy

Christmas Latte Card #5

Well, I can post two more cards for the 2017 Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.

The first is a colorful gift card holder with the sentiment, "Sending a whole latte love your way."  The tag slips into the gift card holder.  Love the colors.  So very festive!

Happy Thursday!
